At Marzocco Advocacy, we have a broad knowledge and understanding of the special education process and state and federal special education laws. Collaborating and problem solving with families and school teams, creates effective IEPS that work. We aim to empower and prepare our families to make informed, educational decisions. About Me
If you are reading this, we have certainly had some of the same experiences. IEP and GIEP meetings, evaluations, endless appointments, frustration, anxiety and most of all confusion. In the beginning, I had no idea how much I didn’t know. I joined a parent group and suddenly realized how much work was ahead of me. After classes, training and conferences mixed in with learning from my own mistakes, I eventually started helping other families on this journey. I love it. Nothing feels better than seeing a child start to learn with an empowered parent by their side.

Sharon Marzocco is a highly trained advocate with lived experience in the world of special education. She is a proud member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA) and is a graduate of COPAA’s SEAT 2.0 program. In her advocacy work, she follows COPPA’s Voluntary Code of Ethics for Special Education Advocates. She participates in Pennsylvania’s Education for All Collation’s (PEAC) Parent Consultant Network (PCN). Sharon also belongs to International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). Marzocco Advocacy is happy to do free workshops for local special education PTA groups.
